This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base in quality auditing and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work or the work of an audit team.

They may plan, lead and participate quality audits, adhere to compliance framework and industry benchmarks.

The starting point for this qualification is addressing the 4 core units. Core units are mandatory for every student completing Diploma of Quality Auditing. When you look at the core units you can see that these key competencies follow the logical sequence of auditing, both as a lead auditor and as a team of auditors working together.

 

Study Commitment

Duration of the program is usually between 12 to 18 months, with flexibility due to the individuals existing knowledge, experience, workplace or prior learning.

The time it will take to develop competency in the units that form this qualification is dependent on existing skills and knowledge. Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) options are available to eligible participants.

Typically, to complete within the specified course duration, it is recommended that students commit approximately 12 -15 hours per week to developing their competency through a range of learning, work-based skills testing and assessment activities.

While this method of learning provides you with a flexible approach that can help integrate your personal and work schedules, it’s important to study consistently to achieve your goals within the course duration. To help you stay on track all participants in WTS courses are provided with an individual training plan. Further support is available from assigned trainers via email and by appointment.

An orientation meeting is conducted for new students, providing additional information about the study materials, course duration, and support services.

Entry Requirements

This course is not suitable for school leavers as students should have a significant employment history with some experience in high-level administration or staff supervision to better relate to the course content.

In undertaking this course, it is preferred students have access to a workplace.

To be eligible for enrolment at WTS into the BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing all applicants must:

have a minimum of two years equivalent full-time workplace experience

be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrolment

be technologically literate and have access to the Microsoft Office suite or equivalent

have the ability to read and write English and display numeracy skills to at least Year 12 level.

Students will need to provide:

Unique Student Identifier (USI) number (you can receive a USI or check if you already have one by visiting www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi). Without it we will not be able to process the enrolment or issue a Statement of Attainment.

A computer, access to the Microsoft Office suite or equivalent and continuous internet access
