RIIMPO326E Conduct Water Vehicle Operations

This course has been developed for experienced operators and to be delivered in the workplace. It applies operator skills and knowledge for those working in site-based roles required to perform water vehicle operations to load, haul and distribute water.

Water vehicles are used across a range of industries including civil construction and the resource sectors.

This course covers the following outcomes:

Planning and preparing for water vehicle operations

Operating the water vehicle in line with established requirements

Loading, hauling and distributing water to complete work activity

Conducting housekeeping activities, including the recycling and disposing of materials.

 A Statement of Attainment will be issued on successful completion of the unit requirements.

There are no mandatory pre-requisites to this unit of competence, but all learners must be 18 years of age or over and had prior practical operator experience.

Students will need to provide:

Unique Student Identifier (USI) Number - To apply for your free USI visit https://www.usi.gov.au/. Without it we will not be able to process the enrolment or issue a Statement of Attainment.

Photo ID - (ie Drivers Licence, WA Photo Card)

PPC - Steel cap boots, appropriate clothing (ie long sleeve shirt, long pants, hat)

Water bottle, sunscreen and hard hats will be provided onsite.

Delivery / Duration

Face to face delivery mode. Site based training and assessment undertaken at client premises, with prior approval of site specific resources, appropriateness of equipment and facilities/training arena.

New operators - 2 day training

Experienced operators - 1 day training.

Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements

All learners must be able to read and comprehend English to a level that will enable them to safely conduct work activities. WEMAC Training Solutions (WTS) recognises that some learners may require addition support and are fully prepared to support each learner throughout the course duration.

On enrolment, all candidates will complete a short language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) test, which will assist WTS trainers and assessors to determine any support requirements.
